District PEFA Implementation Unit (DPIU)

District PEFA Implementation Unit (DPIU) is established in each district with a view to enhance financial transparency and accountability in local level. It is expected that it supports to co-ordinate, communicate and disseminate the PFM and PEFA related activities and information in local level. The current composition of DPIU is as follows:

  • Chief, District Treasury Comptroller Office – Coordinator
  • Planning and Administrative Officer, District Development Committee – Member
  • Engineer, Nominated by the Coordinator (Building and
  • Urban Development Division or Division Road Office or District Technical Office) – Member
  • Representative, District Administration Office – Member
  • Chairman, Chamber of Commerce & Industries or Contractor Association – Membe
  • Representative of Civil Society, Nominated by the Coordinator – Member
  • Official, Nominated by the Coordinator – Member Secretary
